Buff and Clunk: Tamarack

Okay, before I can post our Tamarack vacation, I have to tell the best story from camping with my parents last week. I can't believe I forgot. So we were out on the boat the first day there and we were anchored while we were cleaning some of the fish we caught. My dad was still fishing when all of the sudden he got a bite on his pole, and it slipped out of his hand and into the water. I watched him as we both thought it would float to the top, it didn't! I thought it was gone for sure. The depth finder showed we were in about 30 ft of water. He rigged up another pole and started fishing for his sunken rod. It only took a few short minutes when he hooked it, pulled it up, and to our surprise had a fish on the hook too! He is one lucky guy!

This weekend we went to Tamarack. Clint had his summer board meetings and the members got to bring their family and stay and play for a few days. It was so relaxing and really nice to get away into such a beautiful mountain retreat. This is the cabin where we stayed. Each family got their own place. It was so nice.

We had so much fun relaxing in the hot tub, hanging out on the deck playing games, going for hikes and laying out and swimming in the pool at the lodge. Clint did the zip line and said it was awesome! We went to Donnely one day for the "Huckleberry Festival" where there was a parade and some fun antique shops. Yes... I found some more jadeite! We went ice skating in McCall and ate a fun sandwich shop where outside they had a bocce course, it was so neat. Here are the pics.

I think the kids got in the hot tub at least 3 times each day!

The pool at the lodge, was soooo cold. Vylett pretty much had it all to her self everyday because nobody else was brave enough to stay in it. She is a total fish, she swam a couple hours everyday.

While the boys were playing catch, Vylett was making this beautiful flower wand. Isn't she so creative?

This was the parade at Donnely, it was a good thing Clint had cargo pants on the kids filled both of his pockets with candy. Costco was even throwing out free rolls of kirkland brand toilet paper, it was kinda funny.
