This past Saturday was a sweet, calm, relaxing, happy Saturday.
We started our morning with a try at fishing, one of Brogan's new favorite past-times.
Unfortunately we got skunked, but we had so much fun trying.
Not sure if Tina can come anymore, she kept swimming out to retrieve our bait when we would cast and nearly ended up with a hook in her side, numerous times not to mention tangling our lines over and over. Like the kids say, "don't look in her eyes" she gives us those big brown puppy eyes and nobody can seem to get mad at her. We love her.
Later, we came home to clean up the house and Clunky mowed his newly planted lawn for the first time!
Can you believe we planted this on Labor Day weekend and it already looks like this...
We definitly need a riding lawnmower, it took him 4 hours-- he's crazy if he thinks that's going to be me next summer! Ha
We ended our evening by having some of the kid's new school friends come over to enjoy an end of the season barbeque, making carmel apples (the yummy ones like we get in Sun Valley with the carmel, white chocolate, sugar and cinnamon) and roasting marshmellows for smores on the firepit. After their friends left, Vy and Bo entertained us by singing and dancing-- it was sweet.

Uh ya I'm with Jai, I want an apple too! We tried fishin too and got skunked, the carp ran off with our worm 2 times!
Ahhhh....fun Saturday!! We went for a canoe ride. Carrie and I will have to try makin' some of those caramel apples.
